Dorcas is a Christian relief and development organisation, committed to care for and empower poor and oppressed people.

Mental health of children

Today, we draw attention to the mental health of children. According to WHO, worldwide, 10-20% of children and adolescents experience mental disorders. Depression is the number 1 cause of illness and disability in young people aged 10-19 and suicide ranks number 3 among causes of death. Children need to have a good mental health status if they are going to live up to their full potential and truly live a life that is filled with positive experiences and the willingness to do what is best for themselves and the people around them.
